Old Gods
Countless Gods and Goddesses fought in The Great War, all defending their dominions and human followers from the Celestial brothers Yahweh and Devil.
Many were wiped out; entire civilizations were lost and forgotten, while others disappeared.
The greatest among the Old Gods, however, survived to be enslaved by the Celestials and bound to the earthly realm forever.
We will learn more about them below.
Twilight Sisterhood
Before Devil and Yahweh entered our galaxy, many dimensions intersected ours and allowed Gods to flow through and interact with mankind. Some stayed, some left but many coexisted or had wars from time to time. Until Devil and the Yahweh came and decided to rule this dimension; either destroying the former Gods or banishing them back to their home dimensions.
The Twilight Sisterhood is an ancient order of female goddesses that embody and protect the seasons of the world. Much like the Zodiac Clan, the sisters proved too powerful to destroy and so were enslaved by the Archangels.
They would become the vanguard to the Rift Gates, protecting the Zodiac Clan on earth.
Embodying nature itself, the five goddesses are connected to each of the Zodiacs, able to sense their locations at all times. Each is attributed to a season or element:

Zodiac Clan

Olympian Gods
The fate of the Olympians is unknown to us as much of their civilization was already coming to an end by the time of The Great War.
Before the Celestial Brothers emerged in this dimension, the Olympians had already been engaged in a catastrophic struggle with The Titans and though they had won the war, much of their power and strength had been diminished; making them easy targets for the Archangels and their angelic army. What became of the Olympians is lost to history, but most suspect they were either wiped out or imprisoned like the other Gods in Purgatory.

Celtic Gods
Also known as The Tuatha De Dannan, the Celtic Gods were mostly wiped out by the Romans and their Christian followers at the beginning of The Great War. One of the first groups of Old Gods to come under attack from the Celestials, the Druid's Groves were cleansed and set to the torch, scattering those who remained to the winds; either to be indoctrinated into a new religion or to fade in to the forests entirely. Any that were captured during the time of the Great War were sent to Purgatory, while others chose human forms and blended in with humanity.
Egyptian Gods
The Egyptian Gods are some of the most ancient and powerful Gods of all time. Their affinity for necromancy and blood magic allowed them a measure of true immortality as they could not be killed without resurrecting into the body of a human follower.
Much like the Olympians, the Egyptian Gods civilization had already come to an end by the time the Celestials arrived. Though they still had many followers among humanity, their hold on their dominion was slipping due to the rise of science and philosophical thought at that time. Though still very powerful and ancient, the Celestial brothers found they could not kill the Egyptian Gods. No matter how many times they tried, the God would always return so they devised the prison, Purgatory to seal them away for all time. They would later use this prison to contain other Gods who refused to die.

Norse Gods
The Old Gods of the Norse Clan died a slow death as their followers were slowly converted to Christianity. Unlike the other God Clans, the Norse Clan began a war against itself; some believed that if they began Ragnarök, on purpose, that this would cleanse the earth of the Celestial army and any human or Old Gods that stood in their way. Others believed the price to dear and did not wish to see the world burn. War broke out and as the Norse Gods fought themselves, the Celestials and Angels converted many of their followers, diminishing their power and all but destroying them from within.
Those who survived were sent to Purgatory.

Hindu Gods
Unique among their brethren, the Hindu Gods never truly transitioned over to the earth dimension, drawing on power from their home dimension in the stars. Their followers, who still number in the millions today, hold a profound connection to their deities as they can transcend this plane of existence into the beyond. Despite Yahweh's best efforts, he and his angelic children were never able to capture or kill any of the Hindu Gods; despite their best efforts. He did however achieve victory over converting millions throughout Asia to Christianity, but that only made up a fraction of the population; the majority that stood with their Old Gods still believed in their ancient Gods and their promise of ascension to higher planes of existence. Those who achieved Moksha (liberation and release) could join their Gods in their home dimension; breaking the endless cycle of reincarnation (Samsara) (birth, life, death and rebirth) to become a true divine and a living God.
During the Great War, the Hindu Gods chose not to fight the Celestials. Instead, they spent their remaining time in the Earth dimension preparing their followers for their absence. They created protected portals and reinforced their temples, ensuring their mission and philosophies were preserved for generations to come.
When Yahweh and his angels neared their dominions, they closed the main Rift Gate to their home dimension, sealing it from their side so Yahweh could not follow. This also meant they could open it and other smaller portals at their whim, allowing the souls of their followers to ascend and join them. Centuries later, Yahweh has long given up trying to break through the Rift Gate to the Hindu Dimension, his failure to capture or subdue the Hindu Gods his greatest failure of the Great War.

With the help of his older brother Devil, they were able to conquer our dimension by creating the Angelic race and wiped out the Old Gods and their dominions. He would also feel the bitter betrayal of his own children when Lucifer led a rebellion into heaven, and his retribution was swift when casting Lucifer and his followers into hell.
In modern times there is a more mixed response when it comes to 'God' and his purpose for humanity; many believing he is the only chance for salvation. While others still rebel against him and his angelic children for inciting violence and war amongst his followers.
Every war instigated by Abrahamic, Christian, Jewish or Muslim devotees was instigated by Yahweh and fueled by him and his angels to ensure his conversion of humanity continued into modern times.

Devil is the oldest of the Celestial gods, alongside his twin brother El Elyon: God of Light, but he would leave their home dimension behind to pursue the goals of his younger brother, Yahweh.
What Devil's true motivations are is unknown, especially as a rift began between Yahweh and Devil during the Great War against the Old Gods.
Yahweh would use his angels to imprison Devil in Purgatory, along with the Old God's who could not be killed, and all knowledge or history of Devil would end there.
Though his legend lives on.
Becoming the villain in Christian religions, Devil would become a sinister figure in our history, one we would need protection from less we become evil ourselves.
