Demons

The sons and daughters of Fallen Angels, and demons were created in Hell to serve the Fallen Archangels with many coming from varying origins.

The Classification of Demons

1) The Purebloods - Made from lesser angels.
2) The Cambions - Created from the souls of damned humans and supernaturals.
3) The Hellspawn - Created from humans and supernatural creatures who are twisted and tortured in Hell into monsters.

Pureblood Demons

The first demons to be created came from the lesser Fallen Angels that had fallen into Hell with Lucifer and his Archangels after their rebellion. With a third of Heaven's hosts having been cast out after The Great War (along with captured angels during the war), this left thousands of angels unchecked and battling for dominion in Hell's regions.
Seeking to restore order, the Fallen Archs came together and commenced a gladiatorial; battle to determine the strongest through blood and death. Those who survived were placed under the command of one of the Fallen Archs and sent to serve in one of the Hells Rings to which they governed. Thousands of years spent in these rings changed these angels into the demons we know today, with different breeds coming from the different rings.

Cambion Demons

Considered half-breeds, Cambions are half-human/half-demon hybrids that are given human forms and sent to Earth to tempt the souls of mankind into sin.
When a damned soul is sent to the Hells Rings, they may be offered a chance to leave Hell and serve their Fallen Arch General in tempting more souls to damnation. After countless years of torture, a damned soul will do nearly anything to end the torment and may accept the offer of a reprieve from Hell. Given human form once more, the soul will be imbued with demonic energy from the ring they reside in; binding them to hell and giving the recipient powers they can use against humanity.
For example, A damned soul in the Ring of Lust may be given demonic energy and transformed into an Incubi (a cambion sex demon) that will be sent to Earth and forced to consume sexual energy from human victims. Tempting them into illicit acts, the incubus will seek to dim the soul of their victim, making them more susceptible to Hell's influence.
As long as the Cambion serves their master well, they can remain on earth.
The most common type of Cambion Demon is a Vampire: A half-human/half-demon hybrid that instantly loses their soul to hell when they are turned, whether they were good or bad in life. What is unique about the Vampire Race is that, unlike other Cambions, they have not sold their soul to Hell or necessarily sinned in life that would earn them a one-way ticket to damnation, and yet, their soul upon death instantly goes to Lilith; The Queen of the Vampire Race. Whether they choose to become a vampire or not, their soul instantly is bound to Hell.

Countless species of demons were created in Hell to serve the Fallen Archangels.

Below, you will find a list of many demon types, from Pure Blooded Demons that solely remain in hell tormenting human souls, to Cambions that claw their way out of The Pit to tempt mankind.

For some, there are detailed records due to their numerous interactions with mankind, while others are completely unknown to us.

Atari

Native to the Ring of Limbo

The Atari are demons that serve Astaroth and monitor the souls trapped in Limbo's mists. They are impartial spirits with a strong sense of justice and order that follow the will of their creator to watch over and observe the souls trapped in Limbo. Appearing as misty wraith-like figures, the Atari will determine if a soul is ready to move on to the next Ring of Hell, or if it should be released to heaven.

Crossroads Demon

Native to the Ring of Greed

Crossroads demons are half human/ half demon Cambion's that act as a middleman between the Imps in hell and their human 'customers' on Earth. Acting much like a salesman, the Crossroads Demon will make the deal for a human soul, ensuring the human remains unharmed until the contract time is up and the Erti are called in.

What a Crossroads Demon does in their own time is varied, but most will have a quota or agreement for the procurement of souls and soul contracts that must be filled, lest they be pulled back to the pit for 're-education'.

Col

Native to the Ring of Lust

Desire Demons take the form of Mermaids that traverse the waters of the Ring of Lust, their voices can lull their victims into a deep sleep where the Mermaid can then enter their thoughts and terrorize their victims.

Sometimes the Desire demons become hungry for something more and will drag their victims from their boats and down into the depths to mate and consume them. The souls inevitably return to the surface to begin the cycle again and the Col Desire Demon's continue their torture of the lustful souls.

Daeva

Unique among the other demons on this list, the Daeva are an ancient race of shadow-beings that existed long before the Reformation of Hell.

Considered highly vicious and uncontrollable, the Daeva inhabit all the Hell's Rings, appearing at random to terrorize damned souls and Fallen Angels alike.

No one knows their true origin or how they came into being and despite Devils best efforts, he was never able to eradicate them from his domain.

There are stories throughout history about humans summoning these shadow demons to control them or use them against others. All stories end with a bloody result.

Erti

Native to the Ring of Betrayals

Known as 'Justice Demons', The Erti are a species of demons that are instilled with the highest of hell's laws and a desire to enforce them. They are considered the Demonic Pitbulls of the underworld; ensuring any contracts with hell are fulfilled and any disputes resolved.

Demons, the supernatural, and even humans can call on the Erti for justice, but all will pay the price if found guilty of breaking hell's laws and defying the Fallen Angels.

Hastra

Native to the Ring of Limbo

Demon of Nightmares: The Hastra are a nasty breed of demon, preying on those who sleep. It particularly likes terrorizing families and young children, feeding off the adrenaline of a nightmare it induces in its victims. A Hastra will prey on its victim for days, even weeks, drawing out its meal and driving its victims insane through sleep deprivation and anxiety.

Many commit suicide before they can complete their meal, and others die while having a night terror.

Hell Hounds

Native to the Ring of Betrayals

Brutal and vicious, Hell Hounds are the Demonic Pitbulls of the underworld and answer only to the Erti 'Justice Demons'.

Used when collecting souls to be dragged into hell, Hell Hounds are nearly uncontrollable and are often left to wander the Maze in the Ring of Betrayals, hunting the damned souls trapped there until they are called by the Erti to honor a soul contract made with hell.

H'Colom

Native to the Ring of Lust

Sex Demons (have no gender but can change their presenting gender at will).

Created from the angels who fell during the Great War and were imprisoned for falling in love with humans, the H'colom were forced into hell after the rebellion of Lucifer, whether they agreed with him or not. They were captured, tortured, and imprisoned in Moloch's Ring where lust and sexual depravity reign.

Through the centuries, Moloch had his damned souls rape and force sexually depraved acts upon these angels, eventually twisting them into mindless, sex-crazed monsters that rape and kill their victims. Procreation with these Fallen Angels created the Lomoc demons. The H'Colom are rarely released from hell due to their lustful and destructive natures, but when they are, a single H'Colom can destroy an entire village in a single night (they retain their angelic powers that are now coupled with insatiable hunger).

Hellspawn

Native to the Ring of Torture

Hellspawn are only used in times of war. Having spent centuries in hell, Hellspawn are twisted, mutilated humans, supernatural's, and monsters of nightmares. With razor-sharp, fanged, teeth, mutilated bodies, and hunger for human flesh, Hellspawn can be pulled from the deepest depths of hell to be unleashed as a great swarming army.

With mouths full of razor-sharp, fanged, teeth, mutilated bodies, and multiple origins, they are akin to Zombies, only zombies do not work within a collective hive mind. Connected to their master/ creator, they can be used to devastating effect as infantry and foot soldiers in war.

Depending on the species of Hellspawn (human or supernatural), the abilities can vary drastically, as well as the form they take:

Human - mutilated human bodies that come in all shapes and sizes, these types are known for being the smash and grabs, used in mass to topple their opponents through sheer overwhelming force.

Supernatural – whatever inherent gift the supernatural had before they were sent to the depths of hell is usually amplified exponentially. A werewolf will triple in size and strength. A vampire will have such heightened speed that it cannot be tracked with human eyes. And an incubus will be able to absorb the very essence of a human without even touching them, just to name a few.

Titans – from the Greek mythologies, after the fall of the Old Gods, Yahweh imprisoned them in the lowest depths of hell for thousands of years. To unleash a Titan is to decimate not only armies but entire cities and civilizations.

Fortunately, there are only a handful left. And that is all that is needed.

No one wants to stand opposed to a rampaging army of Hellspawn. No one. The only entity they answer to is the King of Hell, and even then, it’s nearly impossible to control the Horde.

Lebi

Native to the Ring of Betrayals

Record Keepers. Found in a massive library in the final Ring of hell, Betrayals, before you reach The Pit and the Dark Spire of Lucifer that lies beneath, the Lebi keeps a great library of records for all souls sent to hell.

No matter which Rings a soul is assigned, the Lebi keep a detailed history of all who have languished in hell, their life before hell, and any movements throughout hell (for example: if someone moved from the Ring of Madness to the Ring of Torture. Or, if a damned soul became a Cambion Demon and their assignment/ contract on earth).

The Lebi are often consulted by Crossroads Demons, the Erti 'Justice Demons', and the Fallen Angels themselves for their knowledge of all souls contained within Hell.

Lomoch

Native to the Ring of Lust

Sexual Guilt Demon: in contrast to its Col counterpart, the Lomoch are a race of demons who seek out those who are sexually promiscuous and punish them for their desires.

The Lomoch will plant thoughts of guilt and doubt into a victim's mind, causing them to become depressed and self-destructive. Feeling a deep shame for their behavior and following their desires, the Lomochs victims will often self-harm and even commit suicide to escape the crippling condemnation they now feel towards themselves, while the Lomoch feeds on their misery and sends their souls to hell.

Many of these souls will be sent to Moloch in the Ring of Lust and after a period of torture and training, may even get sent back to earth as a Cambion Demon known as an Incubi or Succubi.

Mara Demons

Native to the Ring of Pride

Pride Demons, or The Mara are the embodiment of Aramea's will. Their task is to create the unique realities that will govern the punishment suited to each prideful soul that disembarks on their shores. Drawing their victims into false illusions, they delight in distorting realities into horrific, never ending nightmares.

Pride Demons are shape shifters that can appear as anything they want at will. From other humans, inanimate objects, and even animals, the shifters can assume any form to achieve their goals and provoke Pride and fear in their victims.

Modi

Native to the Ring of Madness

Modi Demons stalk the forests of the Ring of Madness. The Modi are a brutal race of giants that will kill or capture any they find in the forests, dragging them to a terrifying castle that is hidden amongst the trees. Serving Asmodeus, the Modi will drag victims to their lords keep to be dissected and experimented on until they die, appearing in the forest once more. The Modi themselves are the twisted abominations of Cyclops, created by Asmodeus after The Great War and now they serve him in Hell.

Rith

Native to the Ring of Greed

The Rith or Imp Demons are the 'lawyers' of the underworld, with knowledge of human and demon contracts for all souls who enter or leave hell. Whenever a new contract is created, the blood of each party is written into it, this not only makes it a binding contract but also allows the Erti to track anyone who may have broken their contracts by using their blood. The Rith is not troubled by human matters, or even that of the cambions in their care, if the law is upheld and the contracts enforced, they could not care less what happens to those who are bound to hell.

Sex Demons

Native to the Ring of Lust

Incubi and Succubi are half human/ half demon Cambions who are sent to earth to tempt mankind into sin. Unlike their H'colom or Lomoc counterparts, Incubi and Succubi do not often kill their victims through sex. Their goal is simply to dim souls and make them susceptible to damnation through sex and sexually deviant acts.

Each Incubi or Succubi contract has a time limit for how long they will be allowed on Earth before they are pulled back to hell. However, it is not unheard of for an Incubi or Succubi to excel at retrieving souls for their masters, thus allowing them to extend their contract and remain on earth longer.

Skin Changer

Native to the Ring of Pride

Skin Changers are human half-demon Cambions that can assume the form of any human their master's desire. They will often be sent on specialized assignments to impersonate someone of position or importance to the Pure Blood Pride Demons or even the Fallen Arch Angel Aramea himself and will seek to sow chaos everywhere they go. Through their actions, catastrophic events and calamities can occur, with their goal often being destruction and war. The Skin Changers must kill their intended target before assuming their form, and they will take over their life; influencing any humans they come into contact with on the path to achieving their mission.

If they please their master, a Skin Changer may receive another assignment on earth or even play a role in the punishment of other damned souls. If they fail, they will be cast back into hell and their prison in the Ring of Pride to be tortured again.
