As a vampire in his 70s, Maxim is considered a rarity among his species, as most are unable to mask their features until they are around two centuries old.

His life has been one of terror and blood since before he was turned as he was a blood slave in a nest of vicious vampires as a teenage boy, and then kept as a 'pet' by Lilith, Queen of the Vampires, after his awakening.

Maxim is a very traumatized vampire who has completely covered his body in tattoos to mask the dozens of scars he received as a human blood slave in a nest of vampires.

Choosing not to feed from humans, even willing hosts, he feeds from blood bags and occasional animals, encouraging other vampires to follow in his example.

After he was sent by Lilith to assassinate the Leader of the BloodThorne Brotherhood, Apep Thanatos, Maxim would be inducted into the Brotherhood and his Sire Bond cut, so he would no longer be enslaved to Lilith.

After nearly 40 years, he was finally free and chose to join the Brotherhood, becoming its leader after 20 years of service and steering the prolific organization in a new direction.

He keeps a tight lid on his quick temper by training tirelessly with Apep and other members of the Brotherhood, honing his vast skillset and bonding with the other members he is now the leader of.

Maxim still struggles with his nature, but in recent times, with the Brotherhood and his allies, he has learned to thrive in the night.
