Name Meaning: Katarina: Greek for 'Pure' and Strand: Old Norse for 'Strong' and 'Seashore'.  

Katarina is a prolific hunter, with a unique power over lightning that sets her apart from other Reapers.  

When she was young, her parents were killed in a vampire attack, leaving her to be raised with Serena and Shae, forming an unbreakable bond between the three as they rose through the ranks and became generals among the Reapers.  

She is the leader of the Thorgard Clan and acts as their representative on the Council of Reapers. And yet, she is most known for her prowess as a general of the Vanguard Reapers, the most formidable warriors of the Reaper Order.  

Stationed in Australia on a secret assignment from the Council, she regularly returns home to see her wife, Sandra Grover, and attend the Council.
