Brotherhood History: The Mentor
Apep Thanatos is an ancient necromancer who learned his craft from the ancient Old Gods of Egypt five thousand years ago.
He was the former leader of the BloodThorne Brotherhood, naming Maxim his successor. This was seen as unusual, as vampires and necromancers rarely get along, and Maxim was the youngest member of the brotherhood, but Apep wanted to move on, and Maxim wanted to lead. After leading the Brotherhood for hundreds of years, Apep now runs his own business for hell's hierarchy and the supernatural community, ‘liberating’ corpses from cemeteries and using them to create host bodies, slaves, or whatever his clients require.
Much of his history is a mystery due to the length of his life, but he typically has no interest in romantic relationships, finds he is unsurprised at life, and is quite the traditionalist when it comes to Brotherhood matters, though he supports Maxim’s reforms.
